Applications Engineer Lead
Doug is an Electrical Engineer with 30 years of design engineering experience at former HVACR industry leader Sporlan Valve, and at McDonnell Douglas.
During his career, Doug was involved in the development and successful launch of numerous electronic controls. His experience includes working directly with customers and assisting them in designing custom electronic control packages.
With his extensive knowledge of the industry, and his ability to develop unique programming for our customers, Doug brings a versatile range of talents to KE2 Therm.

Andrew Markee
Firmware Engineer Lead
Andrew joins KE2 Therm as an Electronics Engineer. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla. Prior to joining KE2 Therm, Andrew gained 7 years of experience working as an Electronics Design Engineer, specializing in embedded systems and digital controls. Andrew’s immense enthusiasm for wrangling 1’s and 0’s is a great asset to KE2 Therm.

Dennis Hoehne
Quality Engineer Senior
Dennis joins KE2 Therm with 32 years of engineering experience in the design, development, and manufacture of HVACR components.
His accomplishments include being named as co-inventor on seven U.S. patents. During his time as Plant Quality Manager at Sporlan Valve, Dennis implemented processes and procedures that increased quality and reduced scrap by approximately 50% in one year.
His background in product design and quality processes positions him to guide the development of KE2 Therm’s customer focused product line.

Dan Long
Applications Engineer Senior
Dan Long is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. Prior to joining KE2 Therm, he worked for 12 years in the HVACR industry as a manufacturing engineer with Sporlan Valve.
Dan’s experience includes developing automated test fixtures and defining procedural protocols that ensure product integrity. Additionally, Dan coordinated process development for the launch of new products and realized lead time reductions of 90% in multiple assembly areas.
We recognize Dan’s industry knowledge and talent for implementing quality and lean initiatives as assets that substantiate KE2 Therm’s commitment to manufacture innovative and reliable products.

Joel Stillwell
Test Technician Senior Specialist
Joel Stillwell joined KE2 Therm as a Firmware Test Technician in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics and a Minor in Math from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Before working at KE2 Therm he worked as a Data Management Specialist at a publishing company and helped start an escape room business, serving as an embedded electronics developer, and assisting in game design (and anything else that needed doing).
His attention to detail and creative approach to problem solving make him a valuable addition to the testing team.

Randy earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia, has experience as a manufacturing and engineering leader, and has proven success in lean management, quality control, process improvement and product design and development.
His previous roles at Sporlan Valve included Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Manager, Lean Manager and Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Randy’s thorough understanding of lean operations is instrumental in managing the operations at KE2 Therm.

Todd Angel
Software Engineer
Todd Angel began his career with KE2 Therm as a Technical Support Analyst in 2022. He attended Drury University from 2016 to 2022, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, and minors in Cyber-risk Management and Asian Studies.
Todd has a natural affinity for the communication features of KE2 Therm products, however, since joining KE2 Therm he has developed a strong sense for refrigeration and how our products enhance refrigeration systems.
